What started as The Seventeenth Radish, a small neighborhood activity center with quirky name, has grown into something more. With an innovative in-house curriculum and and a new Pop Up division, we are evolving into a place with a focus on facilitating peer interactions, building social skills and having fun with learning.
Hope to see you soon...
As the mom of two young girls, I find there to be a lack of activities where kids can engage with their peers where they are not being directed in a highly structured type of class or lesson. I wanted to create an environment where there were fun and supervised activities but where the kids could take the lead.
Our activities are based on a curriculum we created with 11 core science topics (Astronomy, Anatomy, Archaeology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Meteorology, Physics, Properties of Matter, Zoology) as well as a few seasonal ones. Each Club and Camp has a theme and a schedule of options for children to select from - whether they join in on the science demonstration, flex their creative muscles in the art studio or take on a building challenge, their are lots of opportunities for teamwork, problem solving and fun each time they meet!
